Who you are buying from

vates sells No. 01 direct. Buying from this site means these terms apply to the sale.

The product

No. 01 is a one-piece borosilicate glass bottle with a machined steel cap, 32 ounces, at $89 in US dollars. It is a drinking vessel and is not made for hot liquids under pressure, for a naked flame, or for a freezer. Photographs are as accurate as we can make them; glass and screens both vary.

Orders

An order is an offer to buy, and is accepted when the bottle is dispatched. If something is out of stock, mispriced, or an order looks fraudulent, we may decline it and refund you in full. Prices can change, but never after you have paid.

Payment

Payment is processed by Stripe. By paying you confirm you are entitled to use the payment method.

Delivery and returns

Covered in full on the shipping and returns page, which forms part of these terms. Risk passes to you on delivery.

Warranty

The bottle is warranted against manufacturing defects for one year from delivery — a replacement or a refund, whichever you prefer. Breakage, thermal shock, and ordinary wear are not defects. This sits on top of your statutory rights and does not replace them.

Liability

Our liability for a sale is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Acceptable use

The site, its text, its photographs and the vates wordmark are ours or are used with permission, and are not yours to republish. Do not attempt to break, overload or work around any part of the site.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, tell us first — nearly everything is settled by replying to a receipt. These terms are governed by the law of the seller's home jurisdiction.

Changes

These terms may change. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
